How is B?

Italian fashion was the motif of a series of Italian stamps, brought together in a block of 6. We know the smoked sausage, the Hollandaise pot, the cargo bike, and the Lapin whistling kettle by Nicolaï Carels from Hema, but Italy is, of course, famous for its fashion designers.   The block was issued on August 30, 2002; each stamp had a value of 41 euro cents. 2 million blocks were printed.   The first stamp shows a creation by Krizia in Milan. Krizia is the name of Mariuccia Mandelli who chose the name for her studio in 1950. She derived the name from the title of Plato's unfinished dialogue on female vanity but changed the letter C of Crizia to the letter K to make it sound a bit more exotic.   Domenico Dolce was born on August 13, 1958, in Polizzi Generosa, near Palermo in Sicily. He started early as a designer in his father Saverio's studio. Stefano Gabbana He was born in Milan on November 14, 1962, and his family was originally from Venice. After studying graphic design, he turned his attention to fashion. They began working together in 1982, and their inspiration stemmed primarily from Dolce's Sicilian past. In 1985, they held their first fashion show in Milan, which marked their breakthrough.   Gianfranco ferré was born on August 15, 1944, in Legnano. He studied architecture. His first commission was the design of a studio for a furniture factory. He loved traveling and designed some jewelry for a girlfriend. The owners of a boutique in Portofino liked this jewelry so much that he began designing it from then on.   Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza on July 11, 1934. He introduced an entirely new concept for women's clothing and had almost as much influence on fashion developments as Christian Dior with the 'New Look' and Mary Quant's miniskirt. Armani has more than 300 branches in 25 countries and 60 cities in all parts of the world.    Prada is the name of an Italian fashion house, originally founded in 1913 by Mario Prada under the name Prada brothersIn 1978, the company came into the hands of Miuccia Prada. Primarily leather goods were manufactured, but Miuccia switched to haute couture. The material 'leather' was held in high regard, and one can still buy shoes and handbags under the name 'Prada'.   But then one stamp remains. Here, there is no designer's name, but only a red stylized letter B. Who is B?
