Women from 1926
Ask anyone who, in their opinion, is the most photographed woman in the world, and most will probably name Marilyn Monroe.

However, ask the same question to a stamp collector, and the answer will be Queen Elizabeth II.

Coincidence or not, but both were born in 1926. Queen Elizabeth on April 21 and Marilyn Monroe on June 1.
Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II are probably the two most depicted women of modern times. While Monroe became a global icon of film and popular culture, Elizabeth II appeared on millions of stamps, coins, and banknotes during her record-long reign. As a result, their likenesses have become recognizable all over the world.
Although they came from completely different worlds, Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II met once. This happened on October 29, 1956, during a film premiere in London. They were both 30 years old at the time.
