Without prior knowledge of painter-photographer Teun Hocks *), his vision, style, and execution, and personal contact with him, I certainly would not have succeeded either. In a staged world, he personally plays the leading role in an imaginative and lively manner!...
A fortuitous confluence of circumstances within a relatively short period has meant that a dark period of the school campaign (1949 – 1964) is being highlighted precisely now, in the anniversary year of the children's stamp. 1. Catalogue Dutch Stamps 2025 “The filling of...
The 2024 Children's Stamps mark 100 years of children's stamps, on which the theme of 'resilience' is highlighted in a figurative sense through texts, images, and spoken word. The spoken word connects the sender via the QR code on the mega-stamp...
This article devotes brief attention to three issues simultaneously, as a rare exception. The reason? Three stamp sheets are being announced in a relatively short period of time. On September 25, Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland (SKN) is launching the 2024 children's stamp school campaign as a 100-year-old Foundation with the...
The concluding article provides further information about the 60th children's stamp edition. To mark this anniversary, a children's stamp exhibition was organized in Rotterdam. The history of the postage stamp / children's stamp is clarified there in a particularly insightful diagram. 2008 On the occasion...
The third part of this series of articles covers the children's stamp years 1980 – 2004. In 1980, a children's stamp association was founded, which over the years not only changed its name but also significantly expanded its collection items. After the children's stamp thank-you cards, it fell...
The second part of this series of articles focuses on the children's stamp campaigns from 1971 to 1978. It is striking that considerably less space needed to be allocated to the children's stamp years 1971 and 1974 than to the years 1976 and 1978. The reason? 50s and...
On the eve of the announcement of the images for the new 2024 children's stamps on this coming September 25th by the 100-year-old Kinderzegel organization, it is fitting to devote some space, in words and images, to striking issues from the organization...
During the preparation phase of a number of stamp blog articles about the 100th anniversary of the children's stamp organization 'Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland' (SKN), I came across my article 'Pegmine bags' (p. 45) once again in the richly illustrated reference work 'The children's stamp campaigns from 1924 by...
