Fairy Tale Town 'Lilliput' (part 2)

A particularly strangely shaped stamp was used for the tour of Fairytale City 'Lilliput' in the Netherlands in 1937. A stamp with a width of no less than 55 millimeters and a height of 35 millimeters. Just as in 1933, the Dutch Postal Service decided to dedicate a series of special stamps to this event. Why the strange design of the stamp was chosen is unclear. The fairytale city was built in the following cities: Amsterdam from Friday, March 5, 1937, to Sunday, March 14, 1937. Arnhem from Saturday, March 27, 1937, to Monday, April 5, 1937.   Eindhoven from Friday, April 9, 1937, to Sunday, April 18, 1937. The Hague from Saturday, May 1, 1937, to Monday, May 17, 1937. Haarlem from Friday, May 21, 1937, to Wednesday, May 26, 193 Den Helder from Friday, May 28, 1937, to Wednesday, June 2, 1937. Leiden from Friday, June 4, 1937, to Wednesday, June 9, 1937. Breda from Friday, June 11, 1937, to Wednesday, June 16, 1937. The intention was to have Fairy Tale City 'Lilliput' settle in Zwolle from June 11 to 13 and in Hengelo in Overijssel from June 18 to 23, but that did not happen. The strangely shaped stamp was used not only by the small post office in Fairytale Town 'Lilliput' but also for two other events. One in Boskoop, where a special mailbox was set up on the grounds of the Flower Exhibition from April 21 to May 10, 1937, and another for a meeting of the Oxford Group in Utrecht from May 6 to May 17, 1937. It was a religious revival movement led by the American F. Buchman. In the years leading up to the Second World War, the Buchman Movement exerted a strong attraction on all segments of the population.
