Stamp blog becomes Freestamp magazine (2)
Postzegelblog is being expanded and modernized and continues as Freestampagazine
Today, the last articles have been posted on the 'old' Postzegelblog. In the coming weeks, all blogs will be transferred and re-indexed into a completely revamped website.
The current Postzegelblog was built nearly twenty years ago and was clearly starting to show its age. In addition, we felt the need for more features: user-friendliness for (new) authors, better promotional opportunities, improved search engine visibility, and – perhaps most importantly – an international platform. After all, philately is a hobby without borders, and at PostBeeld, we help collectors all over the world.
With Freestampmagazine we are going to make this a reality. We are starting with six languages in which you can view the blog. The translations are automatically generated, but for every article, it remains clearly visible in which language it was originally written, and that version remains available at all times. It will also become much easier to publish a blog yourself, so that your knowledge and stories can be shared worldwide.
Postzegelblog will remain accessible as usual over the coming weeks, but no new articles will be published temporarily. We expect to need approximately two weeks to transfer everything and test behind the scenes. It will remain possible to post comments on Postzegelblog; these will also be transferred to the new website.
As soon as Freestampmagazine is active, you will notice it automatically: whoever looks postzegelblog.nl goes, is automatically forwarded to freestampmagazine.nl.
Of course, it will all take some getting used to, but we hope that you will soon be just as enthusiastic as we are!
Team PostBeeld.
