It is summer, the time of year when many people go on a well-deserved vacation. You, too, have booked a holiday home in sunny locations. Our family (with or without the children) will also enjoy our well-deserved vacation without press and paparazzi. In 2020, we made a misjudgment when we left for Greece during the coronavirus period, while the rest of the Netherlands was forced to stay home by order of our Prime Minister Mark Rutte. In the podcast 'Through the Eyes of the King', King Willem-Alexander calls this trip “the biggest misjudgment of my life”. The King understands that many people felt abandoned by his departure at the time. “And rightly so that they felt abandoned,” he says. “I am the one responsible for that.”
