Many additions to the Haarlem website about postal history

The Haarlem Philatelic Society 'Op Hoop van Zegels' has once again posted a lot of new material on the postal history of Haarlem and the surrounding area on the website www.ohvz.nl. The 'postmarks' section of Haarlem itself is now almost complete, with attention to
  • the small round stamps from 1877
  • the long stamps from 1885
  • the large round stamps from 1891
  • the long bar stamps from 1906
  • Dr. printing stamps from 1912
  • the short bar stamps from 1919 and
  • the flag stamps from 1931
Attention is also paid to the post during the years of the Second World War, including the stamps of the Deutsche Dienstpost Niederlande – Haarlem. Although far from complete, no fewer than nine volumes have been added regarding the so-called delivery stamps, with which postal carriers indicated who they were until the 30s (with a number – in Haarlem this went up to 220) and at what time of day they had delivered the mail (with a letter – in Haarlem this went up to G: there were up to seven delivery rounds per day….). In the 'postal organization' section, an overview has been provided for all Haarlem post offices, auxiliary offices, and branch offices regarding the location, duration, stamps used, and registration slips from that office. Finally, work has begun on the overview of the postal history of the villages surrounding Haarlem. Overveen is now online (in the 'postmarks' section). Work is progressing rapidly on other villages (such as Bloemendaal-dorp), as well as on the other sections that still need to be filled. For instance, many hundreds of red cancellations from companies and organizations in South Kennemerland are currently being processed in preparation for the attention the Association intends to devote to the postal history of government institutions, companies, foundations, and associations in and around the city of Haarlem during the anniversary year 2021 (110 years!). As always: comments and additions are welcome!
