Love on a bike
You call yourself a “Fietslatelist” and are also a collector of bicycle miniatures and related bicycle-related collectibles, such as bicycle maps, bicycle pins, bicycle tiles, and bicycle books. Numerically, my Fietslatelist collection is the largest. Following the “discovery” of this pewter bicycle figurine from Italy, my collection of bicycle stamps has grown even larger. Last October, I visited the flea and curio market in Utrecht. I “found” this beautiful bicycle miniature there. I wanted to know more about it and wrote the following to the Dutch Pewter Society: “I bought the accompanying figurine (H 11,5 x W 9) at the flea market. It belongs in my collection of bicycle miniatures. I would like to know what kind of pewter it might be, when it is from, and where it was made. Under the base is a small sticker with the text: PELTRO Cesellato A Mano Made in Italy”
I received the following answer: “Your pewter figurine was manufactured in the mid-20th century. Peltro is the Italian name for pewter. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with the Italian pewter foundries.” With the introduction of the phenomenon of Personal Stamps, a new world has opened up for many collectors. For me, too. Just take a look.
If this isn't “Love on a Bike,” then I don't know what is... and has been for 60 years!! A very nice addition to my collection of bicycle stamps. You could call it a commemorative stamp. Look at the image and beautiful thoughts will naturally come to mind. Would you like to share them? Then leave a comment...

Jan, is that the new version of “personal stamps”? Can’t you fill in that middle section then?
'@Toon, I haven't been able to find the option to fill the center. That would have been nice. Apparently, that remains reserved for PostNL :-(. There is, however, the option to place text on the side. I did make use of that, of course.
Hi Dad,
This remains my favorite!! 🙂
love,
Nicol
And…the card has been received! That’s really nice, thank you.

Are the bicycle stamps available to order, and what is the price of a sheet?
'@Nicol, your enthusiasm is a nice stepping stone to becoming a cyclist.
: )
@Lindgreen, I sent you an email. Talk to you “talk to you soon”.
Hi Jan,
Do you have a piece of skin like that for sale for me?
Marleen
@Marleen, certainly, just email me for more info: jnvantel@casema.nl
Very beautiful stamp..
I'm actually quite curious about the sound that comes from the seal 🙂
@Sandra, what a nice response. You can add the sound yourself (in your mind). I've already sent you an email.
With a little imagination, the shape of a heart can be seen in the shape of the bicycle wheels.
