The 40th edition of the 'Kom in de Kas' days was celebrated on April 1 and 2, 2017, with a special sheet as part of a postal set. During this nationwide event, vegetable, flower, and plant growers open their greenhouses to the public. The sheet and accompanying cards feature freesias, roses, and vine tomatoes (just like the stamps).

Behind every strawberry There is a story behind the food you eat. About nutrition, light, and timing, but above all about the grower who knows exactly what a plant needs to grow well! How great that you want to visit Kom in de Kas! During Kom in de Kas, you will visit locations in no fewer than 15 regions throughout the Netherlands. This means there is always a greenhouse near you. View all participating locations and plan your visit. There is plenty to do, depending on the region where you visit Kom in de Kas. Each location page lists all participating companies and all activities taking place that day. Additionally, it is of course a unique and interesting opportunity to look inside the greenhouse, and you can ask the grower any pressing questions you may have.

 

Stamp Association Monster

The Monster Stamp Association is an active association in the Westland region and issues stamps annually under the name 'Westland mooiste'. The association has a number of active members and presents its promotional stand at various events. In 2019, they celebrated their 65th anniversary and released a special stamp.

You may know the association from the annual Postex, where they usually stand at the entrance of the fair with a tray of fruits and vegetables for tasting. You can also buy personalized stamps from them. An assortment of issued stamps featuring flowers and fruits is listed below. A list of stamps and cancellations for sale is available on the website.
