Children's Stamps 2026: 'Growing up safely. It just has to be.'
On July 27, in the article 'Cheerfully atmospheric children's stamps 2026', I devoted extensive attention in words and images to the Blond Amsterdam children's stamp issue. I did not pay special attention to one of the five different children's stamps depicting two children baking and roasting in the kitchen.

This stamp appears on only one of the two stamp sheets in a smaller edition. Pay special attention to this small children's stamp sheet.

Children's stamps 2026 during ordinary everyday moments
Both of us, Jans and Fem, have drawn moments that seem so ordinary. Baking together, playing outside, cycling, being read to, and feeling safe at home. Things you might not stop to think about every day. Precisely because they feel so self-evident. But unfortunately, they are not for every child.

Children's stamps
This year, two 2026 stamp sheets are being issued featuring five different children's stamps. The design duo Femque Geffen and Janneke Dröge of Blond Amsterdam have manually designed and drawn the self-adhesive children's stamps using pencil, ink, and Ecoline.
- The left sheet contains all five different children's stamps. The print run amounts to 320.000 sheets.
- The right sheet contains only four different children's stamps. Both children actively preparing food in the kitchen are missing. This stamp sheet is for sale exclusively through SKN in sets of two and is not intended for individual sale via PostNL. The print run amounts to 500.000 sheets.
For the first time, the stamps take the form of small houses in a sticker format, perfectly fitting the theme 'Growing up safely. It simply has to be'. With this design, we draw attention to the importance of a safe home base for every child. Unfortunately, some children still grow up in unsafe home situations.
From September 16 to 23, pupils from groups 6, 7 & 8 of primary school collect orders for children growing up in an unsafe home situation during the school campaign 'For children by children'.

Blond Amsterdam 25 years: “Making people happy. That’s what we stand for.”
What started 25 years ago in a tiny studio, without hot water but with a lot of enthusiasm, grew into 25 years of Blond Amsterdam. And we wanted to immortalize that. That is why we created a very special anniversary book; an ode to 25 years of creativity, entrepreneurship, friendship, and, of course, a whole lot of Blond.
Through archival footage, sketches, milestones, and personal stories, Jans and Fem take you back in time to the first drawings and unexpected moments.
Should a reader have received this anniversary book with an order of 75 euros or more, I would greatly appreciate receiving a copy of the text regarding this children's stamp issue from you. Thank you in advance (batehill@delta.nl).

The Blond Amsterdam children's stamp, depicting the two children baking, is likely to become popular among collectors.

The 2026 children's stamps have a nice modern look and a good design by Blond Amsterdam. Thanks also to bAte for his articles on this.
In terms of numbers, the single frying stamp described by Bate will indeed be the rarest compared to the other 4 stamps, namely 820.000/500.000 = 82/50 = 1,64 times as rare.
However, all 5 stamps appear in all PostNL products (sheet, stamped sheet, folder, and FDC). So, as far as the loose stamps are concerned, even the inattentive philatelist will simply end up with them.
The sheet with one fewer stamp, which is sold exclusively by Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland, will likely be missed by many philatelists at first. However, compared to the 5-stamp sheet, this sheet occurs 500.000/320.000 = 50/32 = 1,5625 times more frequently when the entire print run is sold. Therefore, I suspect that no major rarities will arise here either.

The children's stamps were not yet for sale at the postal counter. They will only be available at the end of the school campaign, which runs from September 16 to 23.
That means that the PostNL first-day envelope is linked to the digital sale, but in my opinion contains an incorrect date: September 24 would be correct.

Issuing these two different sheets separately is fake.
