In short…(314) Permanent series Welt der Briefe expanded again

When the German permanent series Welt der Briefe was launched in early December 2021, it was generally assumed that it would be a “filler” and consist of twelve, sixteen at most, stamps. But nothing could be further from the truth. Over twenty stamps have already been issued, and another four have been added recently. On August 1, a 15c stamp appeared depicting a Pfau (Pavo eristatus mit Brieven im Schwanz), a peacock with letters in its tail. Also in Folienblatt (2x 5). On November 2, a stamp of 20 c followed, depicting a Blaugelber Zackenbarsch (Epinephelus flavocearuleus), a perch with letters for fins. On December 5, two stamps were issued. A stamp of 180 c depicting a Blaustift als Rakete vor Erdball (a stylus as a rocket) and a stamp of 95 c met mit Briefen als Korb (with letters as a basket). Furthermore, the following additions to series and commemorative stamps can be noted: On August 1st: Superheroes (v) 85 c stamp. The Hulk and the 150th birthday of Carl Andreanss Ahrenns (1874-1940) were commemorated with a 180 c stamp.
