Hero Wit
No article today, but sad news. Our esteemed author Hero Wit passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 90.
Hero has played an important role in the content and atmosphere of Postzegelblog. His expertise and passion for stamps, and his journalistic background, were clearly evident in his writing style.
Hero struggled to contribute to the stamp blog independently over the past few months. His aim was to create interesting blogs again together with Willem Hogendoorn. Unfortunately, they were only able to do this twice.
On behalf of the PostBeeld team, our sincere condolences to his family. The readers will miss his articles.
Hero's contributions will certainly live on on Postzegelblog.
Hero was not only a fantastic philatelic journalist, but also a particularly kind and upright person. I am going to miss him.
