Team Charity Bikers has been an active participant in Duchenne Heroes for years. Duchenne Heroes was established 9 years ago by Duchenne Parent Project to raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a progressive muscle disease. Children with Duchenne generally do not live beyond the age of 30; more information: www.teamcharitybikers.nl. To raise awareness of the disease, Team Charity Bikers designs and issues stamps in a very limited edition. The proceeds go to Duchenne Heroes to fund research into a cure or medication for this terrible disease.In October 2013, Team Charity Bikers commissioned their second and third stamps. This time, it is a stamp featuring the Team Charity Bikers logo and a team photo in action. To order: Please state your name, the number of sheets, and the address where the stamps should be sent. After placing your order, you will receive an email from them containing the payment details. Once the payment has been received, they will send the stamps. One sheet (10 stamps) costs €10,00. Team Charity Bikers purchases the stamps for €7,70. Therefore, €2,30 goes to Duchenne research.
