The University of Leuven is 600 years old
The greatest challenge for the designer in this design was to connect the image, which has strong historical relevance, with the future. After all, the role of universities is to shape the society of the future. The designer achieved this using geometric rings in the background in the university's house colors. They are a reference to the halos and the throne on the original image. In this way, the geometric rings form a bridge between the traditional and the modern, according to designer Wim Vandersleyen.

A stamp was also issued for the 550th anniversary. Here too, we see 'the chair of wisdom'.
