Great Britain’s Royal Mail has issued commemorative stamps to mark 50 years of one of the world’s most popular bands, Pink Floyd.
The set of 10 stamps features album covers and live performance photos to mark 1966 – the year the band went professional, having formed in 1965.
Pink Floyd are known for their quirky album covers, as they used graphic designers and photographers to create their unique images,such as the iconic prism cover for their album Dark Side of the Moon in 1973.



After the enigmatic Syd Barrett left Pink Floyd in 1970 he released the album ‘The Madcap Laughs’.
Sadly, Syd Barrett died in 2006 and Rick Wright in 2008. The Endless River was the band’s last album, released in 2014, and was made from unreleased material from the early 9
