Turtle Jonathan not only on stamps but now also in the Guinness Book of Records

At 194 years old, Jonathan the tortoise is the oldest known living land animal on Earth and perhaps the most famous inhabitant of the island of Saint Helena.

Jonathan has, after all, already appeared on stamps several times. As of yesterday, he has also been officially included in the Guinness World Records book as an icon. It is not known whether he was able to enjoy an extra lettuce leaf for that.
Jonathan is a Seychelles giant tortoise believed to have been born around 1832. He has resided on Saint Helena since the late 19th century, initially on the governor's grounds and later in the gardens of Plantation House.
Over the years, Jonathan has become a symbol of the island. Despite his very advanced age, he is still active: he eats, moves slowly through the garden, and receives regular visits from caretakers and tourists. His exact date of birth is unknown, but his life now spans nearly two centuries.
