40 Years of Collecting Postage Stamps (1986)

The association 'Frankeerstempel.nl' aims to promote knowledge regarding and the collection (or commissioning of the collection) of impressions from franking machines as they are or have been used in the Netherlands. It endeavors to achieve this goal by: holding meetings; collecting and publishing data relating to the collection area; and all other lawful means that may be conducive to the objective. In 2026, the association will celebrate its 40th anniversary! Do you have franking stamps in your collection?

Frankeerstempel.nl is the Dutch association for collectors of franking machine impressions. However, thematic collectors who wish to incorporate these stamps into their theme will also find exactly what they need with us. During the national meetings, members can browse through many boxes of free material, and of course, you can also meet other collectors and exchange ideas.

Since 2009, the association has been a continuation of the 'Studiegroep Frankeerstempels Gemeenten' (SFG), which had, among other objectives, the catalogue of all postage stamps of Dutch municipalities and other government institutions. In addition, the SFG has published various other catalogues and books. 'Frankeerstempel.nl' continues these activities. An example of such a catalogue is that of 'The Royal House'.

Within the association, considerable attention is also paid to franking machine prints that fit into a thematic philatelic collection.
